Friends of the Old School
Our Most Sincere Thanks

Friends,

FOTOS extends its most heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to, and participated in, the effort to save the historic J. B. Thomas Middle School building (a.k.a. Hillsboro Union High and “The Old School”). To view the FOTOS homepage, and the rest of the FOTOS website, as it appeared before J. B. Thomas' demolition, click here.

Memorial T-Shirt for the Old SchoolTo help us retain our memories of this now-lost landmark, and to help FOTOS pay its legal bills, a tee shirt has been designed in the Hilhi school colors featuring an image of the building and the years it stood in our community (1929-2009). They may be purchased at Le Stuff Antiques (234 E. Main Street) or Seller's Antiques (247 E. Main Street) in historic downtown Hillsboro. Or, contact Kay Demlow at . The tee shirts are $15 apiece and are available in adult sizes small through X-large.

Also, as a side note, someone from the Greater Hillsboro Area community has set up a “J. B. Thomas Memories” MySpace page at www.myspace.com/jbthomasmemories where photos and stories of the Old School may be posted and shared. Some of the items already on the page may be viewed by anyone while others are only accessible to MySpace users. Items in the latter category require that one set up a free MySpace account and log in before they may be viewed (this is also required in order to post anything new to the page).

Please note that FOTOS is not connected, affiliated or endorsing the “J. B. Thomas Memories” MySpace page, the individual(s) who set up and/or administers said MySpace page, or MySpace.com in any way. Said MySpace page is mentioned here solely for community information purposes.
